The ITECA fully automatic specific surface area analyzer is China’s first fully automated specific surface area analyzer , specifically developed for quality control in cement production, it serves as the core supporting equipment for intelligent upgrades to cement plant laboratories and for fully automated, unmanned testing across the entire process. The instrument is rigorously designed in accordance with national testing standards, overcoming the limitations of manual operation inherent in traditional Blaine air‑permeability meters, and integrates Automatic filter paper placement, precise weighing, sample layer preparation, vacuum extraction measurement, and sample disposal cleanup. Five major automation modules enable fully unmanned operation across the entire workflow, from sample preparation to data output.
The device can accurately measure the specific surface area of cement and powdered materials within the range of 200–600 m²/kg. It is equipped with high-precision metering, photoelectric liquid-level detection, automatic temperature correction, and an intelligent data storage and transmission system, completely eliminating human‑operated errors and ensuring stable, reliable test results. Supports Offline laboratory testing, online production‑linked testing Operating in dual-mode, it seamlessly integrates with enterprise‑wide automated laboratories and APC intelligent control systems, providing core data support for optimizing cement production processes and achieving precise quality management. It is a critical piece of equipment for cement enterprises seeking to realize testing automation and digitalized operations.

Standards of Implementation and Scope of Application
1. Implementation Standard
Strictly in accordance with GB/T 8074—2008 “Method for Determination of Specific Surface Area of Cement — Blaine Method” Developed and designed in accordance with national standards, the testing procedures, accuracy metrics, and data evaluation criteria fully comply with industry regulations, ensuring that the test results are authoritative and valid.
2. Scope of Application
- Core applications: Specific surface area measurement of powdered materials throughout the entire cement production process, including finished cement, raw meal, and coal powder.
- Extended applicability: All samples tested by the Blaine method with a specific surface area ranging from 200㎡/kg ~ 600㎡/kg Industrial powdered materials;
- Scenario Adaptation: Cement plant central laboratories, fully automated testing labs, and on-site online monitoring stations.
End-to-end automated inspection process
The instrument employs Three-axis robotic arm coordination + modular automated operations Design ensures that the entire process requires no manual intervention, with all testing steps completed in a standardized manner:
- Automatic filter paper placement: After the test is initiated, the filter paper feeding mechanism automatically picks up a standard filter paper using a suction cup and lays it flat on the bottom of the sample tube’s perforated plate. Simultaneously, a three-axis robotic arm transfers the sample tube to the weighing station.
- High-precision automatic weighing: Adopt Metering screw injection + high-precision weighing module Combination design with a screw graduation of 0.001 g; rapid initial dispensing, followed by automatic deceleration and fine adjustment as the target value is approached, ensuring precise quantitative weighing of samples with a controllable weighing error of up to 0.001 g.
- Automatic compaction of the test specimen layer: After weighing is completed, the robotic arm automatically places the top filter paper and transfers it to the compaction station, where a pneumatic cylinder applies a constant pressure to flatten and compact the sample layer, ensuring uniform porosity in accordance with the specified standards.
- Intelligent Optoelectronic Detection: The sample tube is automatically transferred to the testing position, and the vacuum pump is activated. Optoelectronic sensors precisely monitor the liquid-level drop time of a U‑tube manometer. The device automatically measures ambient temperature and applies numerical correction based on air viscosity, ensuring that measurement accuracy remains unaffected by ambient temperature variations.
- Automatic sample discard and cleanup: After the test is completed, the robotic arm transfers the sample tube to the cleaning station, where compressed air automatically blows away the filter paper and residual sample. Waste materials are collected in a dust collector, and the sample tube returns to its original position, awaiting the next testing cycle.
